An ambitious London venture from internationally acclaimed hotelier André Balazs.
Creator of the famed Mercer hotel and The Standard brand, André Balazs has crossed the pond for this London hotel. He has taken a Victorian firehouse on stylish Chiltern Street and transformed it into an exclusive 26-room boutique hotel. Many original facets of the historic firehouse remain, including the renovated red brick structure, its façade and the "Fire Brigade Station" sign. Chef Nuno Mendes, formerly of the Portuguese restaurant Viajante in East London, heads a New American-influenced restaurant. This puts the hotel in good company with the many fine dining venues that occupy the area.
