Eco-friendly innovation twinned with decadent pampering.
Guest comfort goes into top gear in this decadent hotel sitting south of the river, on London’s newly dubbed "left bank." Evenly split between corporate types and families with children, guests will find the latest in cutting edge technology. The hotel incorporates a no-plastic policy, providing only electronic newspapers, encouraging rainwater harvesting and using only low energy lightbulbs to reduce its CO2 emissions by 500,000 kilograms per year. The 65 rooms and fifteen apartments are decorated with light and dark grays, paneled with dark wood and fitted with plush pale-gray carpets. Dark gray-and-black Morano tiled bathrooms have body-spray showers, and hydrotherapy baths are available on request. Every room comes with touch control glass panels enabling lighting, door access and even housekeeping. There are also in-room facilities for video conferencing. Travel-weary guests can ask for one of the Thames rooms that offers jet lag recovery using specially designed light settings; in addition, all rooms are furnished with blackout blinds. Both Wi-Fi and broadband Internet are free, along with shuttle service to Clapham Junction station. In keeping with its "go-green" policy, the hotel offers guests the opportunity to rent bikes and cycle into spots in the city, where the bikes are collected and guests left free to roam to their hearts' content.
