Excellent service stands out at this traditional Victorian hotel.
Made up of three Victorian houses near Hyde Park, this small, family-run hotel is decorated in a somewhat tired traditional style. But the recently renovated rooms are very comfortable and come with individually controlled central heating and well-equipped bathrooms. Rooms are lacking in tea and coffee-making facilities, which is unusual for a central London hotel, but there is a huge selection of coffee shops in the area. The lift is minuscule, so travelers with loads of luggage beware. On a positive note: service is excellent, and the staff is the highlight of the hotel. They will bend over backwards to help guests. The Rose Garden restaurant offers imaginative cooking and provides a good meeting place. There's also a cocktail bar and garden terrace.
