A comfortable budget option opposite King's Cross station.
This modern budget chain hotel is a great stopover for long weekends and large groups of friends who won't be spending much time indoors. Kings Cross isn't far from Camden, for guests who want to get to gigs and shows, or for visitors to the British Museum and Covent Garden. The hotel is immediately round the corner from the tube station, right by King's Cross and St. Pancras. Rooms have a light and airy feel and feature comfortable king-size beds, fat duvets and cushy pillows. Unexpected in a budget property: bathrooms have thundering power showers and bathtubs, but are basic aside from that. Guests should bear in mind that the interior rooms are noisy and have no ventilation, so be sure to ask for an exterior room when booking. The on-site restaurant and bar, Bar Est, serves a variety of tasty continental dishes in a light, bright and contemporary setting. The breakfast (£7.50 extra) is a large, all-you-can-eat buffet-style smorgasbord of hot food and a good range of cold choices. The fantastic reception staff is responsible for the high number of repeat guests.
