Saint Georges Hotel
A quiet, upscale hotel in the heart of the West End.
The Saint Georges is set just two minutes from Oxford Circus in one of the most exclusive areas of London --- Langham Place and Regent Street. The site occupies the old Queens Hall, a lovely nineteenth-century Georgian building that was once home to the first BBC Proms. These days, the office-style building is somewhat weathered and dated. The interiors are largely functional, and while the 92 non-smoking rooms are nothing to write home about, all are warm and welcoming, kept very clean and have large and comfortable Hypnos beds, flat screen TVs and free Wi-Fi. Since none of the rooms are at ground level, they get almost no street noise, and those on the highest floors offer excellent views of the London skyline. The rooftop restaurant also features views all around and is the perfect place to take in breakfast; it's also a great spot to go in the evenings to gaze out at the city. As drinks are somewhat pricey in the hotel, for a better value, consider one of the many bars or restaurants located within easy walking distance of the hotel.
