A refined small hotel in a superb location.
With a thorough refurbishment, The Chesterfield was brought up to the standards one would expect from such an excellent address. The Old World wood paneling in the entrance hall and library (where afternoon tea is served) is inviting; the bar has a masculine clubby feel. The thirteen suites and about two-thirds of the 94 rooms are done in classic townhouse style with antique-looking furniture and prints; it's worth requesting one of these. Each room is individually styled and offers nightly turndown service, bathrobes, potpourri sachets and a fine range of toiletries, as well as 24-hour room service, complimentary Wi-Fi and a fully integrated TV entertainment system with international TV channels and movies and music on demand. Don't feel like leaving the room for spa services? Qualified masseurs and beauty therapists are available at any time of the day or night to provide in-room pampering. The Conservatory offers late breakfasts and light lunches and dinners. Pre-theater meals are offered at Butlers Restaurant, and guests can unwind over cocktails in the warm and inviting Terrace Bar. Staff members are courteous, professional and very helpful --- they'll even walk your dog for you!
