A relative bargain for the tony Knightsbridge location.
This small family-owned hotel is practically opposite Harrods and is ideal for anyone who wants to be in one of the most expensive areas of London without digging too deeply into their pocketbooks. Barely noticeable from the road, with just a small entrance with an awning, it opens out quite considerably once inside. On the first floor is a comfortable lounge area with facilities for tea and coffee-making, and bar service is available from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Staircases and corridors are decorated in bold stripes. Thirty spacious guest rooms, of which twelve are one-bedroom suites and a two-bedroom penthouse, are large and well equipped with two phone lines, flat-screen TVs and free Wi-Fi satellite TV. All rooms are air-conditioned, a rarity in hotels in this price range. There is no restaurant, but the hotel is happy to recommend or book any of the numerous dining establishments within walking distance. A freshly prepared Continental breakfast can be served to your room and might include tea, coffee or hot chocolate; a choice of juices and cereals; and hot bread rolls and croissants served with assorted preserves and jams.
