Four Seasons Hotel London at Park Lane
The original European Four Seasons returns to London’s swanky Mayfair district.
When the Four Seasons first opened at this address, under the name Inn on the Park in London, it was the brand’s inaugural European property. Decades later, in an entirely new building, the Four Seasons returns to its original Mayfair location. The 192 luxury guest rooms, including 45 suites, are designed in the classic Four Seasons residential style, with walnut veneer panels with butter-yellow or sienna wall coverings. As well, guests will find all of the expected amenities, from iPod docking stations to 42-inch LCD TVs, Blu-ray/DVD/CD players and Wi-Fi. Beds are high, plush and comfy, and solid marble bathrooms (with brushed silver, walnut and marble cabinetry) contain deep tubs and separate walk-in showers. Conservatory suites have enclosed terraces, and the signature Garden Suite features a landscaped terrace overlooking Hyde Park. Of note is the hotel’s concept dining area, Amaranto, with three flow-through spaces that include a bar, lounge, peek-through wine wall and restaurant with an Italian-inspired menu. Situated on the top floor, the glass-walled spa has treatment rooms that blend privacy with park views, while the fitness center allows guests to gaze all the way to Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament.
