The exterior of the Draycott Hotel in London

Occupying a restored, red brick Edwardian building in London, the elegant Draycott Hotel is situated just around the corner from Chelsea’s Sloane Square. In this intimate boutique lodging from the Mantis Collection, traditional British style and luxury meet modern amenities and personal service. The Draycott comprises three townhouses and offers 35 accommodations, ranging from standard rooms to grand suites. Regulars often choose their favorite rooms, each individually decorated to pay homage to a theatrical figure, be it Coward, Grenfell or Ashcroft. These feature Victorian antiques, high ceilings, a fireplace, satellite TV, iPod dock and free Wi-Fi (available throughout the property). Other perks include luxury chauffeur service, loaner mobile phones, laundry service, computers for guest use and 24-hour room service, concierge and reception desk. Exceptional service extends to 4 p.m. complimentary tea and biscuits, 6 p.m. Champagne and 9:30 p.m. hot chocolate and more biscuits. And because the Draycott knows that one cannot survive on Champagne and biscuits alone, there is a private dining room downstairs for up to fourteen people, where the in-house chef prepares a custom dinner, as well as the Breakfast Room, offering an excellent selection of breakfast dishes, and an honor bar in the lobby. Although its size provides a more cozy and personalized experience, the Draycott doesn’t allow for much space. Prospective lodgers should take into consideration its narrow hallways and many stairways, which can require lots of climbing. For active visitors, the Draycott’s location so close to Sloane Square means easy access to stores, cafés, restaurants, museums, galleries and more. The small hotel sits on the perimeter of Cadogan Gardens, giving guests the opportunity to explore Cadogan Estate, which boasts beautiful gardens, tennis courts and historic buildings. What the Draycott lacks in the amenities of a major hotel — such as a pool, spa or fitness center — it makes up for with its convenient location, sights and tourist destinations of the area and its snug, cozy atmosphere.             Draycott Hotel 26 Cadogan Gardens London, SW3 2RP United Kingdom 020-7730 6466 Visit the Draycott Hotel official website     Related Content: London 72-hour vacation guide on GAYOT.com The Best of GAYOT’s London Great Britain travel guide on GAYOT.com Ellenborough Park hotel review on GAYOT.com Mantis Collection website You can click on each photo to enlarge.
