Go from shades of the past in standard rooms to a glimpse of the future in deluxe accommodations.
Located in the Côte-des-Neiges neighborhood, tucked between Trudeau Airport and downtown Montréal, this hotel is conveniently located off of Highway 15. Though a bit of a hike from central Montréal, the hotel is a short subway ride to downtown and a quick drive to several area golf courses. The hotel offers 198 guestrooms and studio suites. For the most part, room décor is outdated and could use a facelift. Pinkish carpeting and dark blue and yellow comforters just didn’t do it for us. Rooms, especially doubles, are a bit cramped. High-speed Internet access is complimentary in all accommodations. While the hotel’s regular guest rooms disappointed us, the same cannot be said for the fully renovated deluxe rooms. They contrast so mightily with the standard rooms that they seem plucked from another hotel. Beds are plusher, walls are freshly painted in sexy navy and crimson, comforters are in traditional white accented with beige throw blankets and large Japanese-style prints are par for the course. Thirty-two inch flat screen TVs face beds, and window shades and work desks are done in shadowy wood. Large hand-held shower heads are a welcome addition to bathrooms. While deluxe rooms still don’t provide much room to move around, the warm ambiance makes up for it.
