A non-profit's inexpensive offering.

The Montréal Y Hotel

This hotel is run and managed by the Women’s Y of Montréal, a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting female causes. That said, the hotel does accept men and children guests as well. Located on a busy downtown thoroughfare, it is steps from the shopping on St. Catherine street, the Montréal’s Museum of Fine Arts, the Bell Center and Old Montréal. The Y features no-frills accommodations at very inexpensive prices. Each of the hotel’s 30 rooms has a private bathroom, cable TV and Internet access. Rooms are spacious enough to fit four people and décor is on par with many chain hotels. Blue, patterned bedding and reproduced artwork are a staple in guest rooms. An indoor heated pool and training room is also on site but is available for use by females only. The Café Imagination on the first floor has a warm, young ambiance and serves coffee and sandwiches all day long. The hotel’s clientele tends to be young due to the inexpensive rates, but this is not a rowdy hotel. By staying here, at the hotel guests contribute financially to the mission of the Woman’s Y of Montreal.
