JW Marriott Scottsdale Camelback Inn Resort & Spa

5402 E. Lincoln Dr. (Tatum Blvd.) Paradise Valley AZ

A classic Southwestern luxury resort with a spa, golf and more.

Opened in 1936, this was Scottsdale's first luxury resort. Over the years, generations of returning guests have treasured its commitment to excellence; today it enjoys a new life --- with the same great service and style --- as part of the JW Marriott Group. With its traditional Southwestern ambience, the resort evokes a tasteful, refined era. Distinguished guests have included Jimmy Stewart, Bette Davis, George Bush and Oprah Winfrey. Set at the base of Mummy Mountain, and with excellent views of Camelback Mountain, the 453 adobe casitas are spread over 125 acres of landscaped desert, and offer luxuries like kitchens with oven, microwave, refrigerator and stove. Amenities include a lavish spa with 32 treatment rooms, six tennis courts and a tennis pavilion, three swimming pools and six restaurants. Golfers are indulged with two 18-hole courses whose fairways are lined with mature eucalyptus trees and palms. The clubhouse is built in pueblo style. Geared for children is Hopalong College, open during holidays, offering western cookouts, ice cream socials and water games. Twenty meeting rooms offer 40,000 square feet of business space.
