The Hermosa Inn
Intimate luxury in a boutique, hacienda-style guest ranch.
In the 1930s cowboy artist Lon Magargee hand-built this hideaway to serve as his studio and guest ranch. Renovated and restored as a luxury boutique resort, it recalls (with added comfort and convenience) the authentic southwestern Arizona atmosphere from that earlier era. Amid landscaping of palms, abundant flowers and mesquite and olive trees, romantic adobe casitas and the hacienda lodge emphasize the western ranch feel of this six-acre property in upscale Paradise Valley. The 34 adobe guest cottages are distinctive in configuration and décor, while the lodge is accented with beehive fireplaces and wood-beamed ceilings. Distinctive touches enliven the resort, the most notable being paintings by Magargee and old west photos. Lon’s restaurant offers creative American-style cuisine both indoors and out.
