Mira Vista Resort
A clothing-optional resort located on the edge of the desert.
On the edge of northwestern Tucson, at the base of Sombrero Peak, Mira Vista Resort is an eclectic amalgamation of adobe casitas, a hacienda-style lodge, banquet facilities and a simulated Old West town with a lively saloon and wood plank walkways. Once in a rather remote location, it now sits on the periphery of urban sprawl, but it's still near enough to the Tucson Mountains and nearby Saguaro National Park to please ardent desert lovers. Mira Vista reopened in 2006 under a new name and "a new policy of wholesome nude recreation." Relaxing pastimes at this resort include volleyball, ping pong, tennis and swimming, as well as scheduled activities and more intimate offerings, such as a 40-foot heated conversation pool with jets, poolside gazebos with professional misting systems and a massage treatment center. Rooms and suites sprawl across several historic Southwest adobe buildings and comes with direct TV, coffee makers, refrigerators, bold desert color schemes and outdoor patios leading to walkways that showcase the resort's desert flora.
