Ann & George's Bed & Breakfast at Volodares Vineyard
A woodland B&B with vineyard views.
On the grounds of Rancho de Voladores ("Ranch of the Soaring Birds") Vineyard, this bed-and-breakfast was opened by the owners on the occasion of their 50th wedding anniversary. As such, it's a labor of love. The guest rooms are inside the owners' retirement home, which was designed as a welcoming stopover for their friends and family. It's a truly relaxing place to stay in the Paso Robles wine country, and a genteel base camp for exploring the area's wineries and outdoor activities. The property is surrounded by oak forest and has a seasonal creek running through the woodlands. It's reached via winding country roads. The main guest room has a bay window looking out onto the fields, as well as its own private entrance, coffee maker, fresh flowers on the tables, and wireless Internet access. Guests are invited to relax on the garden patio, which has a colorful mosaic table, or in the living room with panoramic windows for sunset views. A dormitory-style room for children or additional guests is available for an extra surcharge. The rates include a full hot breakfast, complimentary wine and afternoon snacks.
