A deluxe B&B in the heart of Cambria.
A charming bower on Cambria's main thoroughfare, this top-rated B&B inhabits a world of its own and romance is always in the air. The 19th-century Greek Revival-style house backs along Santa Rosa Creek, and whole place seems to always be in a wild profusion of bloom. There are six guest rooms inside the historic two-story home and three suites in the innkeepers' cottage. There are no phones or TVs in the rooms or suites---to better preserve the peace and harmony---but most have a gas fireplace. Painted with cream and rose hues, the namesake Olallieberry Room has a white-lace canopy ceiling, an antique chaise longue, and a clawfoot tub built for two (but no shower). The most expensive Creekside Suite on the ground floor of the cottage can sleep up to four people. Note that some accommodations have detached bathrooms. The owners are fanatical cooks, and rates include a full gourmet breakfast along with fresh-baked bread and California cheese and wine tastings in the afternoon. There's a deck and plenty of garden space for relaxing, or guests can order in-room massages. Concierge services and wireless internet access are complimentary.
