The Winemakers Porch Bed & Breakfast at Frances James Vineyards
A romantic farmhouse set among grapevines.
Repeat guests rave about the Winemakers Porch as being among the very best lodgings that the wine country around Paso Robles has to offer. All of the oversized accommodations are inviting. The original suite is attached to the main house, but with its own private entrance off the porch. It has a queen-sized bedroom and a separate sitting room, both outfitted in shabby chic décor, as well as a TV and VCR. The other two guest suites are found in a newer addition above the wine cellar. The more spacious, elegant Bordeaux Suite has a canopy four-poster bed, gas fireplace, kitchenette and deep soaking tub. The smaller Burgundy Suite is decorated in warmer country style and boasts a gas fireplace and windows with vineyard views. The hosts are remarkably personable. The rates include complimentary wine tastings, not to mention a full hot gourmet breakfast. There is no minimum stay, but book as far in advance as possible for weekend stays.
