Bluff-side Carmel resort overlooking the Pacific near Big Sur.
The Tickle Pink Inn is perched (precariously, to some) on a bluff toward the south end of Carmel, peering out into the Pacific. All 35 rooms and suites feature breathtaking views, as well as gas fireplaces, terrycloth robes, flat-screen televisions and spacious bathrooms. Many accommodations have balconies, as well. Guests of the inn enjoy complimentary continental breakfast, an evening wine-and-cheese reception and access to a hot tub on the terrace level. The inn itself, which has been around since 1956, was named for former California State Senator Edward Tickle, who once owned the property.
