Basic lodging and hot mineral pools in northern Napa Valley.
As the name suggests, the focus at the Calistoga Spa Hot Springs is on mineral water therapies. In addition to 57 guest rooms, this property hosts four hot mineral baths and separate bath house facilities for men and women. The spa is undeniably the biggest draw, and the facility offers a full menu of therapeutic treatments such as mud baths. The hotel itself resembles an office building; it's a shame it's not as picturesque as downtown Calistoga, which is just a few blocks away. Guest rooms look like basic chain motel accommodations and are oriented toward budget travelers seeking a good wine country location. All of the rooms offer kitchenettes, but you won't find much else. One suite has two balconies; there's also a more spacious "family room" with a separate sitting room. Elsewhere on the property, a cozy meeting area includes plenty of seating and a fireplace. On some weekends and holidays, a three-night minimum stay is required.
