Uptown sophistication meets small town, wine country charm.
With just 3,500 residents, Yountville is small in size but big on luxury. It's only fitting, then, that Maison Fleurie flourishes here. Like many wine country B&Bs, this property pleasantly blends the styles of rural America with Old World Europe. The hotel's stone-and-brick buildings are covered in ivy, and each is characterized by finely crafted furniture, rich fabrics and huge stone fireplaces. Altogether, the hotel has thirteen intimate guest rooms, where bucolic trompe l'oeil artwork adorns the walls and emphasizes the French provincial décor. Every accommodation has a private bath, and some rooms also come with patios, Jacuzzi tubs and working fireplaces. As the inn's name suggests, another big draw is the half-acre garden --- "maison fleurie" literally means "flowering house," and beautiful blooms surround a modest pool and hot tub. Nightly rates include a full breakfast and an afternoon wine-and-cheese service.
