A welcoming lodge in a historic oceanfront setting.

Fort Ross Lodge

This country refuge is located along the wild and windswept coast of Sonoma County. The setting is striking and secluded atop rugged cliffs, and yet it is just minutes from a multitude of wine country attractions. All of the property's 24 guest rooms include DVD players, color TVs with satellite, microwaves, coffeemakers with coffee, small refrigerators, full tubs and showers, and patios with working barbeques. Additional accents such as exposed beam ceilings add to the rustic air. The scenery here is spectacular: the white-capped ocean in one direction, and meadows of wildflowers and giant redwood trees in another. Depending on the season, you might even see gray whales migrating north right from your window. The complex has a pleasant café. Also, be sure to visit The Fort Ross State Historical Park, a former Russian settlement that is home to 90 acres dotted with picturesque old architecture and excavation sites.
