24 Henry Guesthouse
Inexpensive, Victorian bed-and-breakfast in the Castro District.
Built in the 1880s, this cute white-and-blue, wood-paneled house has been turned into a lovely B&B catering mainly to gay travelers. The location is excellent. The inn is on a quiet tree-lined street away from the crowds, yet within walking distance of trendy Castro boutiques and dining. All of the five rooms are clean and attractive; four have shared baths and the Master Bedroom has a private bath. Whether done in yellow-and-green checkers or adorned with pastel wall murals, each accommodation is inviting. The furnishings are Victorian, while the amenities are 21st-century. There is even free Wi-Fi Internet access. Guests will love relaxing in the parlors with their high ceilings and tasteful crystal chandeliers. A full breakfast is offered each morning.
