Serene and picturesque lodge on the California coast.
Just an hour from San Francisco, bordering the 71,000-acre Point Reyes National Seashore Park, this lodge provides a respite from urban living. The laidback, intimate property has just 22 rooms, as well as two private cottages on Olema Creek. All accommodations feature heated floors, down bedding and picturesque views; some also have fireplaces and Jacuzzi tubs. The property even boasts a library and a game room, which is stocked with billiards, chess, board games and puzzles. Although the lodge was built in 1988, the on-site Farm House Restaurant has been open since 1865. Reflecting its natural surroundings, the restaurant presents a seasonally changing menu of farm-fresh ingredients and a bar reminiscent of an old-time cowboy tavern. Complimentary continental breakfast is included with every stay.
