Bath Street Inn
A Victorian garden hideaway that welcomes traditional B&B lovers.
Surprising as it may seem, not every building in Santa Barbara has white stucco walls and a red tile roof. The centrally located Bath Street Inn is an excellent example of Victorian architecture. It is comprised of two houses that have twelve rooms between them. The 1890s structure is the property's original home, and the newer summer house was built in an equally traditional Queen Anne style. Each room is unique in décor, but as in many Victorian B&Bs, the majority are done with dramatic wallpaper and floral fabrics. Many have private baths, and some even come with Jacuzzi tubs, private entrances, balconies and fireplaces. The airy Country Suite has its own kitchen and a queen-sized four-poster canopy bed. You can expect a marvelous breakfast in the garden surrounded by blooming flowers and trees. And you're invited for afternoon tea, wine and cheese later on in the day. Afterward relax by the fireplace with a good book or play backgammon in the cozy common parlor.
