Incredible value in a spacious resort by the vineyards.
Amidst farm fields just outside of Santa Ynez, this classy resort is run by the Santa Ynez band of Chumash Indians. Tribal designs and contemporary Native American artwork are found throughout the spread-out property. Although advertising claims it's like Las Vegas here, the hotel itself is actually refreshingly quiet. Many of its spacious rooms have balconies upon which to sit and gaze out over the vineyards. Some of the 106 rooms and seventeen suites have private whirlpool tubs. All guests have access to a swimming pool, fitness center, eucalyptus steam room and day spa. The property's fine dining restaurant, The Willows, offers prime steaks and fresh seafood. In-room bottled water and valet parking are among the freebies included in the rates. Although the hotel offers shuttle services to and from Santa Barbara three times daily, you'll need a car to get around the wine country.
