Camp outdoors without having to set up a tent --- bunk beds and covered patios included.
With 226 units, Housekeeping Camp provides a comfortable home base for campers in Yosemite National Park. The units consist of three concrete walls, a concrete floor, a double canvas roof and a fourth curtained wall, which separates the sleeping area from a covered patio furnished with a picnic table, privacy fence and a bear-proof storage container. Each sleeping area has one bunk bed, a double bed, a table and chairs, a mirror, electrical lights and outlets and space for two additional cots to accommodate six campers total. Despite the camp’s name, daily housekeeping and linens are not provided --- though campers can rent bed packs that include two sheets, two blankets and two pillows for $2.50 per night. Laundry, central restrooms and shower facilities with soap and towels are within walking distance of all units. The camp provides a Camp Store with basic grocery and camping supplies as well as a free shuttle service to various locations in Yosemite Valley.
