Magnolia Hotel Denver

818 17th St. (Stout St.) Denver CO

The Magnolia Hotel creatively repurposes Denver’s very first skyscraper.

One of the rooms at the Magnolia Hotel Denver.

In 1929, the First National Bank held the title of the tallest building in Denver (meaning, the first to reach beyond nine stories). After several incarnations and later sitting empty for more than a decade, extensive renovations in the 1990s brought the property’s former sense of grandeur back to life. Today, the building proudly houses the forward-thinking boutique accommodations of the Magnolia Hotel Denver. Old meets new in a nice blend of restored original features like terra cotta trims and a showy corner clock replica. The 297 modern rooms and suites all come with contemporary furnishings, custom bedding and oversize soaking tubs. House dining includes breakfast and dinner at The Lounge, and lunch and dinner at Harry's Bar & Grill. Wi-Fi is complimentary, as are daily breakfast, downtown transportation service, a nightly cocktail reception, and milk and cookies at bedtime.
