The Adagio Bed & Breakfast
A large Victorian home in one of Denver's oldest neighborhoods.
Close to the Denver Botanic Gardens and Chessman Park, and not far from the Denver Art Museum and the Cherry Creek shops, this B&B attracts a cultured clientele. The music-loving innkeepers have named each of the six spacious guest rooms after composers. The Holst Room (he wrote The Planets) is a deep blue with hand-painted stars across the ceiling. With its dormer windows and hand-stenciled furniture, the Vivaldi Room has a spring-like feel. Each of the accommodations has a coffee maker, individual air conditioning, direct TV and big, thick bathrobes. Some also have fireplaces and whirlpool baths. An award-winning chef prepares innovative breakfasts and seasonally inspired dinners. The latter are available by reservation to guests. After dinner, the innkeepers or guests play the piano or sip wine and visit in the large living room.
