August Seven Inn
A Queen Anne Victorian home just minutes from the beach.
Built in 1896 by Procter & Gamble’s James Gamble (and now included in the National Historic Register), the August Seven Inn offers luxury accommodations with a homey, friendly feel. All but one of the warmly decorated guest rooms comes equipped with a whirlpool bathtub, and a soothing sound machine is positioned next to each bed so guests can enjoy a good night's sleep. The inn’s “Tranquility” room features two massage chairs; the spacious front yard and veranda offer plenty of space to enjoy the Florida sunshine; and the Butler’s Pantry is stocked with glassware, complimentary DVDs and popcorn, a mini-fridge and an ice machine. High-speed wireless Internet is available throughout the property, and guests who forget beach blankets, towels and umbrellas will find such items on hand. The inn isn’t just for sand-and-sea lovers, however. Both select areas and the entire property are available for meetings, corporate events or weddings.
