Casa Claridge’s Faena Miami Beach
Renovations breathe new life into this beloved historic Spanish Colonial hotel.
Part of the emerging Faena Arts District that’s currently taking shape along Collins Avenue between 32nd and 36th streets, the handsome building that houses Casa Claridge’s Faena Miami Beach has been a South Florida fixture since the 1920s when it was originally introduced as El Paraiso Apartments. The property also served as a popular vacation retreat for an upscale crowd in the decades that followed, and today, once again welcomes guests into gracious Spanish-style hotel accommodations. The hotel’s prime location lends itself nicely to visitors who want to explore the beach itself, as well as local attractions, shopping, dining and nightlife. The 44 sunny rooms and six suites offer a certain Argentinian flavor in keeping with developer Alan Faena’s roots, and a range of unique beds include four-posters, spindles and antique metal frames. On-site Café Claridge’s excels at both classic American and Argentine cuisine along with handcrafted cocktails. Not surprisingly, the mojito is among the most popular.
