Disney's Old Key West Resort
Recapturing Hemingway's laid-back Key West lifestyle of the 20s and 30s, "sans" roughhousing.
Capturing the essence of the Conch Republic during Hemingway’s life there in the 20s and 30s, this hotel offers the most peaceful and spacious surroundings of all the Disney resorts. Its tastefully understated theme incorporates cottage-style villas in varying pastel shades, tin roofs, white picket fences and interior décor such as wicker furniture, paddle fans and maritime knick-knacks. A lighthouse doubles as the sauna, but still helps guests navigate their way through the resort’s grounds Just like Key West, there’s water all around---a harbor hosts passing boats and real dolphins, a marina holds the resort’s watercraft, and a canal leading to the Sassagoula River gives guests the option of traveling to other resorts and complexes by boat. Recreational options include volleyball, basketball and access to golf. Accommodations range from studios for four to three-bedroom villas for twelve. All except the studios have whirlpool tubs and all feature private balconies or patios.
