Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa
A relaxing home away from home with plenty of fun night-time activities next door at Downtown Disney.
Disney’s newest and largest Vacation Club hotel is a throwback to an old, upstate New York lakeside resort. Although technically a timeshare property, anybody can stay in Saratoga Springs’ mixture of studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom apartment units. With the exception of the studio (essentially a standard hotel room), each unit has a full kitchen, laundry machines and a sofa bed. DVC resorts are perfect for families who plan on spending time away from the parks and value the option of being able to prepare their own meals, which can save hundreds of dollars, especially at breakfast. Saratoga Springs is a ten-minute walk or short ferry ride to Downtown Disney’s restaurants, shopping, shows like Cirque du Soleil’s “La Nouba” and the Pleasure Island night club district. After an evening of partying, you’ll be ready for a Swedish massage, Adirondack Stone Therapy, or any of the other treatments offered at the Spa. While mom can enjoy that, dad can treat himself to hitting the links at the nearby Lake Buena Vista Golf Course. And if the kids don’t have an older sibling to watch them in the nifty faux natural spring pool, babysitting services are offered. Saratoga Springs is a great choice for families looking for a more relaxing Disney vacation where spending eight hours at the Magic Kingdom isn’t the top priority.
