Disney's Yacht Club Resort
A classy nautical yin to the Beach Club's yang.
Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club sister resorts sit like yin and yang next to each other on Crescent Lake. While the Beach Club is bright blue, brash and home to mini-water park StormAlong Bay, the Yacht Club sports a classy gray façade, quiet walkways and an old-time nautical décor that provide a more relaxed atmosphere. Guests still get to enjoy the amazing three-acre swimming pool that features a giant twisting waterslide and sandy bottom, but can keep all the noise and excitement at arm’s length. Located at the center of Walt Disney World, the Yacht Club sits within a ten-minute walk of Epcot Center and the BoardWalk. A boat leaves for the Disney-MGM Studios every twenty minutes or so from the resort’s pier. All other Disney attractions can be reached by complimentary bus service. In addition to the endless dining options at surrounding hotels and Epcot, the Yachtsman Steakhouse is worth a taste. Prime-cuts of beef, fresh fish and other quality dishes come together in a rich environment filled with polished woodwork and burgundy leather. For those looking for a good place to host their next company getaway, the Yacht Club offers two ballrooms and a 73,000-square-foot convention area while all rooms provide wireless Internet access. Good luck getting any work done, though.
