Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort
A low-price resort that still offers top-notch service, complimentary transportation and oodles of Disney magic.
Kids will adore the 35-foot Buzz Lightyear and Dalmatian statues, while parents will love the savings at this ultra-themed, budget resort. Like the two other All-Star resorts, Movies features buildings decked out in different, gargantuan, colorful icons based on Disney films such as “Toy Story,” “Fantasia,” “101 Dalmatians,” and “Herbie: The Love Bug.” Stairways are hidden inside giant fire hydrants, goalie nets and buckets o’ soldiers; a giant No. 53 Beetle explodes out of the Love Bug area. Parents and older kids may find it overwhelming, but younger tots should love it. Rooms are the smallest on Disney property at 280 square feet, but offer attractive furnishings that carry inside the room’s respective movie area theme. All rooms in the three-story buildings are accessed by outside walkways but do offer elevators. Unless you’re looking for a high-class hotel experience, the All-Star resorts should suit your needs nicely. Accommodations are modest, but they still offer the many advantages of staying on-property at Disney World—convenient complimentary transportation, top-notch service, dining options at the food court and Disney magic dripping from every crevice. It should be noted that the All-Star resorts often host large groups of people (cheerleading competitions, football teams), so it’s a good idea to inquire about quieter areas away from the action and top-floor rooms when checking in.
