Southern hospitality and pampering in an intimate setting.
A wide range of travelers is drawn to the Florida-style Southern comfort of this B&B. Along with tourists, it welcomes weddings, family reunions and church retreats. It has lots of extra amenities not always found at a bed and breakfast. Seclusion on an acre of land is another attractive feature. Sprawling old Florida oak trees greet visitors out front, along with a wrought-iron fence and landscaping that suggests an English garden. Half of the house is enveloped by a deck with a spiral staircase that leads to the top floor. The eight Victorian-style rooms have private baths and are furnished with feathered beds and original artwork. Some come with microwaves and refrigerators. A large screened-in pool is pleasant during the hot summer months. The tennis courts are lighted for night play. The hot tub is big enough for the entire family---it holds eight---and there’s even an Arizona dry sauna and tanning bed on the premises. The Manatee River is 400 feet away, and it’s just three blocks to the public boat ramp.
