Planters Inn

29 Abercorn St. (Bay St.) Savannah GA

A Historic District gem adjacent to the famous Olde Pink House restaurant.

Overlooking Reynolds Square in Savannah’s Historic District, this boutique hotel opened in 1912 as the Wesley Inn because John Wesley, the founder of Methodism, preached on this site. More recently, renovations to furnishings and soft goods were completed in 2012. Numerous period-style touches in the 60 rooms (including one suite) range from four-poster rice beds to fireplaces. Unfortunately, there are no work surfaces. However, ask and the management will show you to a work space in the mezzanine, and there is also a business center. The hotel has complimentary Wi-Fi, and a complimentary wine hour is offered in the evenings. Special packages focus on exploring the city, romance, seasonal celebrations and girlfriend gatherings. Free access to Lava 24 Fitness Center one block away may be arranged. No pets are allowed except service animals. The Planters Inn has a romantic ambience, and is very popular for small weddings. Late arrivals (after midnight) will not find valet parking or bell service available until the morning.
