Tasting Notes: When Lewis & Clark explored the Columbia Valley in 1805, they likened the land where Canoe Ridge Vineyard now lies to an overturned canoe. Located in the Horse Heaven Hills AVA, the estate vineyard was planted in 1989. It was followed in 1994 by a winery in Walla Walla. Purchased by Precept Wine in 2011, Canoe Ridge Vineyard produces about 70,000 cases of wine per year, focused primarily on Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Chardonnay. The 2010 Cherry Street Red Blend features bright blackberry and black cherry flavors with just a touch of mocha and nutmeg. On the palate, it is full-bodied and silky.
