The Marshall House

123 E. Broughton St. (Drayton St.) Savannah GA

Savor the history of Savannah from this historic boutique hotel.

Although it's partnered with some of Savannah's most elegant bed-and-breakfast inns, the Marshall House really is a small boutique hotel, with 68 rooms (three ADA compliant), including three suites. Built in 1851 by Mary L. Marshall, this property sits at the heart of Savannah's extensive historic district, making it a delight not only to explore the rejuvenated downtown, but also to meander among the restored squares and ponder the fine old homes that line these moss-draped streets. All guest rooms and suites were renovated in 2008, bringing Savannah's oldest hotel into the 21st century. All also offer complimentary Internet access and feature mini-refrigerators, luxurious top-of-the-line linens, flat-screen LCD TVs, robes, coffee makers and turndown service. Our favorites are the balcony rooms, which open onto wrought-iron balconies facing Broughton Street. The hotel has a fine dining restaurant, 45 Bistro, and a lounge. Check the performance schedules at the nearby SCAD and Lucas theaters, where much of the Savannah Music Festival takes place in the spring each year.
