The Bohemian Hotel Savannah Riverfront
A boutique hotel that raises the bar and jazzes up Savannah's Riverfront.
While the interior décor may strike some as funky, this Kessler Collection addition to its Savannah's hotel inventory seems to fit in with the city's eighteenth-century cobblestone character while raising the bar on comfort. Of the hotel's 75 rooms, sixteen suites have river views and ten face the historic district. Rooms have every conceivable amenity, from luxurious down comforters and pillows to LCD TVs that connect to the Internet. Original works of art adorn the walls. Unprecedented attention to detail can be seen in British Campaign furnishings enriched with exquisite woods, brass and leather. On the roof, a lounge, Rocks on the Roof, may cap an evening of fine dining with post-prandial libations or, from Thursday to Saturday, another round of live music. The on-site restaurant, Rocks on the River, deals entirely in casual fare (burgers and pizza chiefly). Pets are welcome with a $100 nonrefundable fee for those weighing 60 pounds or less; service animals are free. A shuttle runs every 30 minutes between the Behemian and the Mansion on Forsyth Park for guests who want spa services or fine dining.
