Taking a page from a bygone era, this English country manor-style lodging recalls an earlier century, yet the resort was built in 2001 The lodges 40 guest rooms, which include two suites, feature exposed beam ceilings, hardwood floors and luxurious finishes, and most offer either views over the Atlantic or of the Plantation Golf Course. All accommodations come with Bose stereo systems, spacious soaking tubs, DVD players and robes. Rooms are generously sized, with around 700 square feet of space, and the two suites encompass more than 1,000 square feet. Impressive personal attention marks the outstanding service level at the Lodge, and you'll enjoy board and card games, extensive reading material and 24-hour butler service. Breakfast is an event with an ever-changing menu. Afternoon and nighttime munchies are satisfied with a well-stocked bar area with beverages and homemade cookies and milk. Among the many island features you may take advantage of are 54 holes of championship golf, including the Seaside Course: two of the island's original nine-hole courses refashioned by Tom Fazio.
