The Terrell House Bed & Breakfast
A small guesthouse in a revitalizing, formerly grand residential neighborhood.
This guesthouse was a pioneer when it came to the revitalization movement in the Lower Garden District. It opened when the neighborhood was far removed from its antebellum glory. The neighborhood still hasn't returned to its full nineteenth-century grandeur, but the influx of shops, coffee houses and inns give it luster. This restored 1858 Greek Revival villa offers nine rooms and is furnished with Louisiana antiques and other period pieces. Antiques, art and Oriental rugs create a rich feel; at the same time, the place is friendly and homey. A full breakfast is served in the dining room. The courtyard is pleasant, but there's no pool.
