Lizzie Borden Bed & Breakfast
Macabre is the mood at this B&B once inhabited the notorious Lizzie Borden.
Lizzie Borden may not have been the one to wield an ax (the courts acquitted her), but this is the home where her parents were murdered. Pretty from the outside, this 19th-century Greek Revival house is for travelers who want to walk on the dark side. Accommodations include eight individually decorated rooms, and brave souls can stay in the attic room, once inhabited by the maid believed to be the real killer. Complimentary breakfast includes dishes the unfortunate Bordens ate on the morning they lost their lives. Naturally, ghost hunting tours are on offer. Keep in mind, if you're staying for a few days, that all rooms (with the exception of the Knowlton and Jennings rooms) are visited during the tours.
