A luxurious inn filled with beautiful antiques and modern conveniences.
In the 1800s, the Atlantic Silk Company briefly took up residence in this building. Today the inn is lovingly maintained and treats guests to comfortable accommodations in the heart of Nantucket village. From the front door you can walk to Main Street in a matter of moments, and Steamboat Wharf is five minutes away. A winding staircase takes you to your room, which might feature a four-poster bed, Oriental rug, handmade quilt or French wall covering. Adorned with artwork and a cozy fireplace, the parlor on the first floor encourages socializing with fellow guests; the second-floor parlor feels almost like a library. Island roses adorn the trellis outside, and the garden area is tranquil for an early morning cup of coffee or quiet twilight moment. Complimentary Wi-Fi, use of a computer and printer, a DVD library, beach chairs and umbrellas, and an afternoon sherry, tea and cookie hour are welcome perks. Breakfasts feature gourmet delights such as butterscotch coffee cake. Some of the recipes here have been featured in cooking magazines. The inn doesn’t accept children under the age of seven.
