A pretty, tastefully restored historic home.
Dr. A.T. Conley had been a Cannon Falls physician for over forty years when he built this grand three-story home in 1897. A classic example of Colonial Revival architecture, it is noted for its six bay windows, six-column front porch and double dormers. It has been lovingly cared for and is now an integral part of local history. Many B&Bs take Victorian décor to the extreme. Not so here. An elegant spirit has been preserved in oak woodwork, uncluttered rooms and spacious common areas. Rooms are hung with reproduction period wallpapers and furnished with select antiques, and the beds are covered with handmade quilts. All rooms (including two suites) have private baths; all but one feature Jacuzzi or whirlpool tubs.
