Best Hotels in Twin Cities
Traditional DoubleTree comfort plus a few unique extras.
This DoubleTree sits northwest of downtown in the suburb of Brooklyn Center. Although it may seem a bit off the beaten path, this drawback is an actual advantage when it comes to views, since many of the guest rooms offer great views of the city skyline. Being outside the main urban crush also means access to a nice seven-mile jogging track and hiking trail. On-site amenities include a fitness center with four cardio machines and free weights, a redwood sauna, complimentary access to nearby Gold's Gym, a business center with copying and printing service, a newsstand and gift shop. While not terribly exciting, the accommodations are comfortable and tastefully decorated with traditional furnishings. Amenities include two-line phones, dataports, voicemail and Internet access for a fee. Suites have parlors, microwaves and refrigerators, and the Club Level rooms offer the expected complimentary snacks and extras. This hotel houses two restaurants: Lombards for Classic American cuisine for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and Grants, which features weekday happy hour with complimentary appetizers.
