Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino

3667 Las Vegas Blvd. S. (Harmon Ave.) Las Vegas NV

With constant reinvention this hotel remains a favorite with the party crowd.

When the original Aladdin imploded in 1998, Planet Hollywood was planning a music-themed hotel/casino as part of the rebuilt complex. That project did not materialize, and the new $1.3 billion Aladdin debuted in August 2000. Planet Hollywood's perseverance ultimately paid off, though, and the Aladdin name is now history. But the moniker isn't the only thing that changed. A $500 million makeover resulted in decidedly hip guest rooms and suites featuring bold striped wallpaper, retro carpeting, modern furnishings, unique movie memorabilia and upscale amenities like his and hers vanities and plasma-screen TVs.

The Miracle Mile Shops at this hotel feature 200 stores, restaurants and entertainment venues. Among the property's notable dining is Gordon Ramsay BurGR, Strip House and Planet Dailies. The 4,500-seat The AXIS is home to some of the city's top resident headliners: Britney Spears, Jennifer Lopez and Lionel Richie. Along with a chapel featuring custom glass art by Dale Chihuly (Elvis and Priscilla got married at the original Aladdin) and the lavish Planet Hollywood Spa by Mandara, there is 75,000 square feet of meeting space including a Grand Ballroom and a full-service business center.
