Treasure Island

3300 Las Vegas Blvd. S. (Spring Mountain Rd.) Las Vegas NV

Pirates and sirens set the tone at this sexy resort.

When this resort rebranded from Treasure Island to simply TI, it had more than simply a logo enhancement in mind. Since 2005, more than $65 million has been invested to transform the atmosphere from family friendly to sexy. Outside the Strip entrance, the old pirate show was scrapped for The Sirens of TI, a risque battle between sea nymphs and swashbuckling buccaneers --- a choreography of swordplay and acrobatics performed free nightly. While words such as seduction and temptation pepper the TI website and advertising, most things are still pretty sedate inside. Among amenities in the 2,885 well-appointed rooms and suites are floor-to-ceiling windows, richly upholstered chairs, wooden armoires housing modern entertainment centers and marble baths. The suites also feature luxurious sitting areas, walk-in closets, his and hers marble bathrooms and whirlpool tubs. WET spa offers guests water-based signature services for a break from the dry desert air. Nightlife at TI is virtually nonexistent if you're into the nightclub scene, but if you enjoy "bikini bull riding" and a little Honky-tonk action, Gilley's Saloon is just for you. On-site Mystere was the first Cirque du Soleil show in town, and it still sells out regularly.
