An intimate country hotel in the heart of Georgia O'Keeffe country.
A stay at this small hotel consisting of nineteen rooms and casitas is a must for fans of the late, iconic Southwestern painter, Georgia O'Keeffe, who lived nearby. Tours of the late artist's former home and studio depart from this hospitable inn, which is on U.S. highway 84, in a verdant valley not far from the red rocks and azure-blue lake that O'Keeffe immortalized in her artwork. The inn also contains a casual but excellent restaurant serving Southwestern, Middle Eastern, and American fare as well as a well-regarded shop that sells all kinds of arts and crafts from throughout the region, from Native American pottery and dolls to handmade soaps and candles. Rooms are available in many configurations, some less pricey and more intimate and others with pullout sofas or two beds to accommodate as many as four adults. They all have beamed ceilings, hand-made wood furniture, cable TV, and high-quality linens. Some units have fireplaces, patios, or verandahs, and the casitas have full kitchens.
