A great location and reasonable rates make this Taos motor hotel an excellent budget option.
This adobe-style motor lodge fringes the land of the Taos Pueblo and celebrates the heritage of the area's indigenous people by hosting tribal dances during the summer evenings around an outdoor fireplace on the property's grounds. Additionally, there's a fine shop selling Indian and Southwestern arts and crafts. The hotel is right along the main road through Taos, just a short walk from the historic Taos Plaza as well as many museums, restaurants, and art galleries. The 118 rooms here are fairly simple, with Southwestern and Native American touches that come through in the colorful fabrics, beam ceilings, framed art prints, and custom-made lightwood furniture. All have Wi-Fi, coffeemakers, air-conditioning, and ceiling fans, and some have private balconies. Guests also enjoy use of the outdoor pool (during the warmer months), hot tub, nightly wine-and-cheese receptions, full breakfast, and guest laundry, as well as a bar that has live music many nights.
