Best Hotels in Taos
The first bed-and-breakfast in Taos is still a great place to relax at the end of the day.
Built in 1905, La Posada de Taos is Taos’s oldest bed-and-breakfast. It is a historically acclaimed, beautifully kept lodge offering breathtaking mountain views and the opportunity to experience rich New Mexican culture. Keeping with the B&B tradition, the innkeepers serve a sumptuous hot breakfast every morning at 8:15 sharp. Guests can enjoy the inn’s freshly baked chili-pinon scones or a bowl of fresh seasonal fruit before they embark on their day's adventures. There is also a snack buffet from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. daily. The six Southwestern-style guest rooms have Kiva fireplaces in which a fire is prepared daily from November to April. All of the rooms also feature Taos art, locally crafted chairs, tiled adobe and private patios.
